Research Projects
Project 2 - Unilink
Unilink is a support service for Trinity students who experience significant mental health problems. It is a research-based occupational therapy service funded through the Disability Service in the university and offers practical support with the day to day things that students do. For more information please see the Disability Service webpage http://www.tcd.ie/disability/.
Summary
Each therapist has a Unilink mobile phone that is used to contact and respond to students. This is quite a novel approach to therapy service delivery and enhances the flexibility and responsivity of the service. To understand how the SMS messaging facility of the mobile phone communication is used by students and staff SMS messages across three years of service delivery are being qualitatively explored.
